Simply a wonderful getaway location with all the comforts of home. For such a large lodge, it is incredibly warm and cosy. Amazing views from the large windows that surround the entire lodge. It is a fantastic place to unwind, get back in touch with nature and enjoy with loved ones. This place is off the grid. The perfect place to get away, take a breather and rejuvenate. Our family loved it so much we have planned an annual trip here. The lodge is private and secluded, we felt like we were a million miles away. We loved the wonderful service of Ben, and John who went out of their way to make our stay so welcoming and fulfilling. Off grid and kicking butt for nature xx

An absolute gem of a stay - a unique and beautiful building in a unique and beautiful location. We were impressed by the seclusion, the jaw-dropping views over the forest, the level of care and craftsmanship in the building, and the caretaker's knowledge and tips. A must-visit for anyone who loves and respects the wild forests of the Tarkine.

Tarkine Wilderness Lodge was a very special place to stay. The location is really spectacular, the Lodge is clean, spacious and very comfortable and the night sky was breathtaking! There are some nice walks in the forest around the perimeter of the Lodge area, and the opportunity to see "Mother Myrtle"!

Rainwater (some of the cleanest in the world!) is collected from the roof and supplies all internal taps, showers, and vanities. Dam water is used for the surrounding garden and all toilets in the Lodge. Please use the water sparingly. The Lodge utilises solar power as its main source of electricity, it is renewable and silent and reduces our greenhouse emissions. A gas-powered generator is used as back up. We are proud to promote our Lodge as eco-friendly. Please do not touch or change any settings, you can call us for help where necessary.

No motorbikes, or four-wheel drives are to be driven on the property other than the gravel entry driveway. No firearms allowed. Children and youth must be supervised 100% of the time, there are three unfenced dams on the property which could pose a drowning risk. Drive slowly and safely as there may be trucks using the gravel roads.

No shoes in the lodge (wallaby poo is too difficult to get out of our carpet). Please do not light fires anywhere on the grounds other than at the designated fire pits.

Please turn off power when not in use and use minimal water when you can, please use the provided environmentally friendly products. Do not leave food lying around (it will harm our native wildlife).

Keep yourself and others safe – in case of a medical condition – please remember that there is extremely limited 3G/4G mobile service in and around the Lodge (and zero in the grounds). In case of an emergency – use the landline to ring 000 – your address is ‘1 Newhaven Track, Meunna TAS 7325 – Other emergency numbers are in the ‘office’ next to the landline.

You will be invoiced for any damage to the property. Please be respectful, this is a unique property. Keep safe and enjoy the peace and wilderness that is the Tarkine Wilderness Lodge Meunna.
